Responsive WordPress website for Andrew Spybey Opticians

We recently helped Andrew Spybey Opticians in Southwell redesign their website. The Responsive WordPress site is mobile friendly and uses our green web hosting.

Photography

We used some stock images in the site content, but also arranged for a professional photographer to visit Spybey’s to take some shots of their beautiful building, their product ranges and also some head shots of team members. Professional photos really help show what the business has to offer and the team page helps create a more personal connection.

Copywriting

Using the existing copy as a base, we suggested a local copywriter to help refine their message to encourage enquiries. Especially if you’re busy with day to day tasks, hiring a copywriter is money well spent as they can see things from an outside perspective and help you craft persuasive page copy that really sells your products and services.

Technical

We moved the site over from its previous hosting company with the minimum of downtime. With the rise in website hacking, a security plugin blocks suspicious behaviour and alerts the site admin to any potential problems. The responsive WordPress site runs as fast as possible which is helped by a lightweight theme and page caching which makes each page load faster.

Search

Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools are set up to show a summary of website traffic in the WordPress control panel and a search engine optimisation plugin helps Spybey’s ensure they have used the right keywords throughout the site. We also helped them claim their Google+ listing which shows the business details when a Google search is carried out.
