Ullswater Lodge

Another new site for Distant Horizons, this one shows off their Lake District self catering accommodation. The site is built using Expression Engine with the Multiple Site Manager plugin which means Distant Horizons can reuse their growing library of website content that has been uploaded as part of their main website and the 3 Challenges site.

The site uses a stunning background image of Ullswater, with overlapping textured panels to break the boxiness that websites can end up with. Having stayed in the Ullswater Lodge I can heartily recommend it – it is very cosy, very quiet and the lodge is located in a beautiful part of the Lake District.
