When uploading files to your website, give your files meaningful names and instead of spaces use hyphens.
Good: my-pdf-about-goats.pdf
Bad: d983994 dfjsdf 3333 !!!!!!!.pdf
For
product images, you may end up with hundreds of images uploaded to your
site. Therefore, it makes sense to name them by category or brand
first, followed by a meaningful name:
Good: apple-imac-21.jpg
Bad: 345345kjsldkfjw.jpg
On file extensions
Files have a three or four letter extension such as photo.jpg that shows what kind of file it is. Please make sure that all file extensions are in lower case as uploading upper case file extensions can cause problems later down the line.
