New £1m scheme for young entrepreneurs set to launch

Budding entrepreneurs are to be given a massive career boost thanks to two leading Nottingham education providers joining forces to back innovative business ideas.

City-based Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies and Nottingham’s largest FE provider South Nottingham College will plough a massive £1m into a new initiative called Magnify which will back new start-up enterprises.

The news comes on the back of the Government’s City Deal announcement last week when more than £60m of investment was pledged to establish the city’s Creative Quarter – providing infrastructure and investment for city businesses operating in Nottingham’s three emerging sectors, including creative and digital media.
