Take on the Going Car Free Challenge 2024

Calling drivers across the UK, are you ready for a challenge? Summer’s here and the time is right for the Going Car Free Challenge – a month of climate-friendly travel.

Could you swap your daily commute or school run from the car to the bus? Or cycle? Could you go car-free for a day? A week? A month? How about talking to your friends and family about the importance of clean air, active travel, and people-friendly streets?

Each week the organisers will suggest milestones. These might be to swap a regular car journey for a car-free option, talk about the Going Car Free Challenge with your friends and family, or even writing to your local council about people-friendly streets. With each extra milestone you reach, you’ll get an extra entry into the prize draw. So the more you do, the more chances you have of winning some fabulous prizes.
